"Noisewaves started in 2008, mainly as an experiment. I had been making chiptunes since 2006 on nanoloop, but in '08 I got a hold of FamiTracker and ditched the Game Boy for the 2A03 chip.

I have always loved the NES, and making this sort of music is very nostalgic for me. Combining the sounds of the NES with a modern post-rock backdrop is something I wanted to do for a while. I wanted to combine the sounds of bands like Explosions in the Sky, Henry Gale, Do Make Say Think, Lymbyc Systym and others with the 2A03, and thus Noisewaves was born.
